It’s very easy to sabotage yourself when trying to lose weight. Why? Because food is just sooooooooooooooo good!!!!!! Snacking is very easy, ergo here comes the pounds!!! My bad habit was starting my diet on a Monday, messing up and starting again the next Monday. But the diet never gets started again…a mess! I did a variation of the HCG diet and on this diet I’m supposed to only have certain veggies and certain meats. Instead of doing what I’m supposed to do, I tweak it to my liking. For example, I had a chicken breast and creamed spinach from Boston Market. Now you know the chicken breast was ok but you also know I wasn’t supposed to have the creamed spinach! (If you know me, picture me saying this in my voice) LOLOLOL! My thinking was lets see what the scale says tomorrow and if I’m down then I can continue that way. Sabotage Sabotage Sabotage! It’s so easy to give in to food because its sooooo good. I can’t help it!!!! But I can overcome it and so can you!
- Going out to functions!!! Sabotage!!! I know I don’t need to say more about that! You know when you are going out to a function. It’s on your calendar, so cut it out! Okay plain and simple: Eat before you leave, bring your full water cup, eat the veggies and say NO THANK YOU!
- And you know, while going out with friends, you have to beware of the “Oh you can have just one.” or “It won’t hurt.” or “Treat yourself.” SABOTAGE!!! Don’t let your friends hinder you from your ultimate goal!
- Your fat friends! SABOTAGE!!! Yeah, I said it!!! YOUR FAT FRIENDS will sabotage you! Unfortunately, everyone doesn’t want to see you succeed and they want you to STAY JUST LIKE THEM! YEAH I SAID IT! You have to ignore comments and snide remarks and encourage them to join you!
- And lastly, “Oh I thought you were Big and Fabulous?” Traitor! Yup, I am. But I am also smart enough to realize that I am OBESE and if I don’t get HEALTHY and lose weight then I’m going to be exactly what Dr. Phil said “Fabulous and GONE!” So don’t let anyone sucker you into thinking that you have turned your back on the “Big Girls Club”. That is not the case, you just wanna LIVE LONGER!
