Guess Who got tickets to the View???? Meeeee! 🙂

So about 3 weeks ago right after my Whoopi post by God’s own design…I mean really!  This wasn’t nothing but Jesus Himself.  I got an email from the Audience Department confirming that my wait was over and that I am on the list for tickets to be in the audience of The View.  

Everyone knows the waiting list for tickets for the show can take you years!   When I went last year my bootleg auntie gave me a ticket to go with her.  And look at God now, to go ahead and send me tix right after my most recent blog post.  Well la ti da!

MY “ENCOURAGING” OR “NOT SO ENCOURAGING” WORDS FROM WHOOPI GOLDBERG — YOU DECIDE?

Looks like an opportunity is presenting itself for me to be in front of some important folk yet again!  Whoopi tweeted me then and told me I need to get in front of the right people.  Getting in front of the right people is truly difficult and quiet as it’s kept, cattle call auditions only benefit the show.  They gain publicity for the show…i.e. X Factor, American Idol, The Voice etc… With those shows the cattle calls are seemingly rigged.  The audition process is extremely grueling and has so many preliminary rounds that you don’t see.  How does Alicia Keys’ back up singer get on The Voice and win??? How does Gene Simmons’ daughter get to audition??? Am I hating? Absolutely not.  I’m perplexed.  These shows are supposed to be for unknowns and people who don’t normally get the chance to be in front of industry folks.  Not for people who have money and can have the people they know put them in a studio and tweet the link to their album on Twitter.

I was working late until about 11pm one night with the vice president of the company.  I knew she lived near me so I asked her for a ride home.  I told my immediate supervisor the story and she thought I was crazy to ask her for a ride.  I figured, ‘hey what they heck’.  I bet you I got a ride home that night. LOL! We have not because we ask not.  My persistence also paid off with Jennifer Hudson (see video and news links below). Hopefully we can do it again!

Just this past Monday, my pastor preached about a church being Ridiculous  vs. Religious (puffed up with religiosity).  He said, “Noah built and Ark and people thought he was ridiculous.” “Moses reached out his staff and the people probably looked at him and said this is ridiculous”…however you know the outcome.  That just made me smile ear to ear with possibility! I said all that to say…I understand the reason why Whoopi shut me down however if a door is open I have to bust through it and cease every opportunity!

Less than 24 hours until I get my seat in the audience and hopefully make an impression that will change my life and the people I love forever. I’m just that RIDICULOUS in my faith to think it can happen!  I don’t need 15 minutes, all I need is 7.5, STAY TUNED! Oh yeah…i’ll be doing a count down…LOL
