What is your motivation?

Just want to let you all know…this weight loss journey is not easy.  Whew, Yes I’m still struggling! But I WILL get to my goal!

With that said, there is something that I always say.  Almost every time I say it someone gets mad at me because they know I’m right! Tee Hee and LOL!  “People do what they want to do, when they want to do it”.  We always say what we can’t do and what we don’t have time to do.  We don’t get up and go to church on time but we better not be late for work.  We say we don’t have enough money to eat healthy but spend $40-$100 per week eating out! This may include a fast food restaurant or a sit down restaurant.   Lastly, we have time to spend talking on the phone for hours but make excuses when it comes to making time to work out!  I’m not saying but I’m just sayin…!

What motivates you to get up on time? What motivates you to eat healthy? What motivates you to get up and get moving? We pick and choose what we will and will not do.  So if something isn’t happening it’s because YOU haven’t been motivated enough to put forth the effort.

What is your motivation?  Is it playing with your children without getting tired or putting on the little black dress?  My motivation is simply getting my GUT out of my way when I bend down and one day keeping up with the Dancing with the Stars Pros, because a sista wants to salsa without getting tired!

These wants aren’t that far behind, you just have to work at it.  You can achieve your goals by incorporating a few simple things:

  • Set realistic goals – This will keep you on track and successful.  Weight loss is a marathon not a sprint.
  • See Yourself in the Future –  Maaaan!  If you think I’m a Diva now just wait until I get to where I want to be! I see it! I see it!
  • Motivate yourself – You are your biggest cheerleader.  You don’t need anybody to tell you what to do, it’s in you, make it happen!

I don’t want that double chin from 2 years ago that you see above.  So let’s dust off that vision board, stop making excuses for what you can and can not do and make YOUR journey happen.  You’ll thank yourself later, trust me.

  1. I absolutely love this. I hate sugar coating things and people always get mad when you don’t but fact is you really can do anything you want, you just have to be willing to work at it and take the time to do it. Until you yourself are completely ready to do it you won’t. Once you decide you can and will do it, it will happen. LOVE THIS!!! 😀
