Do I look Fat in that? Wendy Williams’ Revelation

39

I love Wendy Williams and I watch her after show.  On one of her after shows Wendy said:

“One of the best things about losing a couple of pounds and keeping them on (I think she meant off) even when I put on just a dress, at least I don’t deal with, does this dress make me look fat, cause I know that I’m not I’ve finally mentally harnessed it.”

Wendy is a self proclaimed foodie, however this revelation to me is the epitome of what happens when you get to your desired “end result”.  It’s no secret, Wendy hasn’t always been as small as she is now and she too has become one of our celebrities that have found her way to getting to a healthy weight and has kept it off.

As a big girl that question “Do I look fat in that?” has always been the first thing you ask when trying on your clothes.  I don’t know about you but I want to erase that question from my routine and put that where, back there!

Now with that said…It is the Holiday season!  I know we love our Holiday Food; can I run it down for ya? Yams, macaroni and cheese, good ole greasy collard greens, stuffing with the works, sweet potato pies, Lawd good googa mooga!  But we have to keep things in perspective.  Below are a few tips from Wendy that will keep you on track for tomorrow and for the rest of your weight loss journey.

  • Portion control – Meat should be the size of your palm as well as your sides – We are not supposed to eat half the pan of Macaroni and Cheese!  I’m Just Sayin!
  • Drink your water all day long – Its a Miracle Liquid! Drink Up
  • Snack Healthier (Kale Chips instead of Potato Chips, greek yogurt instead of sour cream)
  • Make condiments a sometimes thing – You don’t ‘always have to have mayo in your tuna fish, use mustard.  Use a table spoon of salad dressing and shake it or begin to incorporate red wine vinegar as dressing.

Wendy realizing that she doesn’t have to worry about looking fat anymore  certainly helped me!  Use this revelation as a source of inspiration to never have to ask that question again.  I’m on it!  Thank you Wendy for keeping it real, embracing yourself and giving us straight talk for straight understanding.  Have a Merry Thanksgiving!
