Our Proud Thickalicious Sista, Sheryl Underwood displayed what true humility in the face of what ULTIMATE SHADE looks like.  On last weeks episode of The Talk Sheryl revealed a very critical story in her career that brought her to where she is now.  She was given the opportunity to potentially headline on a new Queens of Comedy tour. She was given a a phone number to call in on a conference call so that they can discuss details about the show.  She wanted to be timely for the conference call so she called in extra early.  When she called in on the call her phone was muted and she heard 3 of her peers on the line talking about her terribly.  Namely, speaking about her appearance, her ability to do the show, and even asked the question, Why do we need her? Initially Sheryl was shocked in disbelief at what she was hearing but, oh BUT, she didn’t let that stop her. 

You may have experienced a Sheryl Underwood situation where you found out that you have haters that run in your circles and that you even work with.  They talk trash, have an unsolicited opinion about you and they do it every chance they get. The question is, what did you do about it? Did you stick your head in the sand or retreat into your shell or did you take what they were saying and turn it around from something negative and turn it into a positive?

I’m an in your face personality all by myself. Yes Me – Rhenotha! I’m tall, I’m fullfigured, I wear big hair, tall shoes, I wear full make up and I love red lip stick.  Some people may not like all of that and, but I am the bigger person for it if I show them better than I can tell them, that I am more than what you think of me!  Sheryl displayed that very well and took notes! Look at her now.  Now I say to you, take whatever God has given you and let your haters be your motivators. If there may be something notable that they have to offer, take it and use it to help you keep going on your destination to greatness! #ThatsAWord
