Formerly Fluffy – Thee Jennifer Hudson Releases 3rd Album – JHUD

picmix-21.756Thee Formally Fluffy Jennifer Hudson has a new Album aptly named JHUD.  Ms. Hudson describes her masterpiece as a Dance Album where her persona’s name is “Jones”, channeling her inner Grace Jones.  She is definitely giving us something to dance to. The Album is reminiscent of 70’s Disco rhythms, very Donna Summer, and Studio 54.  In an interview with Seth Meyer she describes the Album as more FUN and she says, “I’ve gotten to be me in my age”.

In this Album she wants us to Bring Back The Music where it features songs about men that make her feel Dangerous because He Ain’t Goin Nowhere all the while letting him know It’s Your World that She Can’t Describe.  This body of work definitely shows the more edgier, grown woman side of Ms. JHud.  She even put out an Explicit version as well as an Edited version.  Well La Ti Da! Go head on Stuff!

The Album is upbeat and makes you snap your fingers and dance.  She accomplished what she set out to do.

Side Note:  A few years ago I sang with Jennifer Hudson.  She was in my hometown of Newark, NJ singing at a benefit concert, where I had front row seats.  During her concerts she does crowd participation songs I happen to be the first person she picked to sing (shamelessly telling her to pick me).  She goes on to about 4 other people and the song was finished.  After the song was over she asked me to come on stage and sing the next song with her.  Check it out Below.  (And Yes I’m still telling people) Hashtag That!
