Hey there #HealthyFriends! When on a weight loss journey it is important to mix up your methods. There is no one size fits all to weight loss but trying out different things can prevent you from becoming stagnant and feeling a need to give up. We can’t have that! Since beginning my weight loss journey this year with my Facebook Group Rowfit35, I’ve made it very clear that this is not an overnight quick fix. Diligent work and adequate healthy choices will get the weight off.
So the latest method of weight loss that I’ve debuted on the Dr. Oz show was the Short Burst Diet. The Short Burst Diet guided by Dr. Michael Roizen at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio consists of these essential properties:
- Only Lasts 5 Days
- Is a Plant based program (no meat)
- On The 1st Day you consume 1000 calories
- The next 4 days you consume 750 calories
- For the rest of the month (25 days) you eat healthy and exercise regularly
Let’s talk food. So like I said, it is a plant based diet so we’re talking soups, sweet potato, cabbage, spices, seasoning, tomato and yes their is dessert! You just have to be creative and plan your meals so that you don’t fall into the trap of What am I going to eat? So if you’d like to try this more than once and want to switch up your selections feel free to google schmoogle but make sure it stays within the guidelines of the basis of the plan. Click here for Recipe Examples and rules of the Plan. The Plan is hard but doable. I’m not going to sugar coat it all. #NoPainNoGain. It is something that you have to get used to but there will be results! On the plan I lost 3lbs during that week so it is definitely worth it.
