Hello Hello Hello #HealthyFriends! It’s week 4 and it’s Thanksgiving Week! First Let me say, Merry Thanksgiving to you! Tis the Season to be thankful that you’ve decided to make a change in your life. I am certainly thankful that I finally have the willpower to take action in my own life and hopefully help you do the same.
In a weight loss journey it is important to move! This week is especially important. Just in case you overindulge, the least you can do is counteract the eating with a great, intense workout. Here are a few tips on how you can achieve healthy weight loss and still enjoy your holiday season.
This week we are taking steps to beefing up our workout! A good workout is essential to a weight loss journey. Below are some essentials to making sure you get a good workout.
- Cardio Is A Must – Your Daily Workout should include at least 30 minutes of Cardio. Cardio increases your heart rate and can add years to your life. In order to lose 1lb, you need to burn 3500 calories in cardio. If you burn 500 per day that’s 1lb per week! So let’s get moving.
- Beat Your Last Workout – I’ve been going hard with my weight loss journey for about 5 months now. I personally like doing my cardio on the elliptical. I began at 4 miles, now I’m up to 6.5 miles. Every time I work out I try to do at least a little bit more than what I did the day before.
- Move after every meal – I’m not saying go crazy and have a full fledged workout every time you eat, but in addition to your lengthy workout add in perhaps a 60 second plank after each meal. This keeps your body burning and on it’s toes.
- Keep An exercise journal – Keeping an exercise journal like a food journal, helps you understand where you may be falling short, again helping you notice what areas you may have to increase.
Alright hope this helps, Remember, Yes We can lose weight during the holidays! All is not lost!
