#HealthyFriends You got through Thanksgiving! Let’s keep winning!

IMG_0082Awwww shux you got through Thanksgiving, now do yo happy dance!!!!!!! We’re now in the home stretch for Christmas and New Years!  I told you, you can do it!  It’s not that hard, it just takes some willpower! Now look, we still have a ways to go so I’m here to keep you motivated, so let’s git it! 

So we’re in week 5, we need to remain focused on the goal here are a few tips to keep you on point:

  • It’s a Holi-DAY – Yup! It’s a Holi – DAY not a season.  Once you realize this you should be golden.  We often think that just because it’s a special occasion we give ourselves leeway to “treat” ourselves or we tell ourselves that “we deserve it”  said the millions of men and women that are obese all over the world.  LIES!  It’s not that deep, food is not that deep, as the old saying goes, a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips.  So please keep that in the back of your mind, It’s just one Day, that’s all…
  • Food Choices – You will not and I mean will not be able to fix your own food.  Sometimes you will have to eat out, however, just because you are eating out doesn’t mean you have to pig out.  If you go to a fast food restaurant substitute your fries with a salad, get a water instead of soda and only eat half the bun to that sandwich you ordered.  I carry 4C packets with me to flavor my water and I don’t use the entire packet.  This should cut a lot of unwanted calories from your meals, trust!
  • Use Self Control – Let’s Just be real, sometimes you want it because you see it!  Am I right??? Yes I am!  One thing I say to myself is: Nope, if I’m going to have the fattening stuff, it may as well be something worth my calories! If you don’t love it, don’t eat it!  At the end of the day, you really didn’t have to eat it.  I will admit, sometimes I will have something outside of veggies and lean meat but baby if it is, you better believe it’s something well worth my caloric intake.  So just use some self control and you should be able to get through.
