#ROWFit35 Health Tip – Benefits of Exercise

There’s no doubt that exercise can help you look good but more importantly, exercise makes you FEEL good. Exercise helps prevent and improve a number of health problems including high blood pressure, diabetes and clearly obesity, it can also help reduce anxiety, an improve mood.

Here’s what Web MD has to say about the psychological benefits of exercise:
When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine.

For example, whenever I’m done with Spin Class I just want to keep dancing and singing, it’s often described as “euphoric”. Yes there is A LOT of Cycle Dancing and Singing in My Spin Class at the Newark YMCA with our Instructor “Smitty”. Don’t believe me come join us 🙂. So get moving honey it’s gonna make ya feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel good! Ow!
